Managed Hosting and Infrastructure

Bansoft is delivered in a dedicated hosted environment with managed operations. Infrastructure, resilience, security, backup, and recovery requirements are confirmed according to institutional scope.

What does managed hosting mean for Bansoft?

The service combines a dedicated hosted environment with operational activities defined in the commercial and technical scope.

Dedicated environment

Bansoft is deployed in a dedicated hosted environment configured for the institution's agreed platform, access, capacity, and integration requirements.

Managed operations

Monitoring, patching, backups, platform maintenance, and operational support are handled within the active service term and agreed responsibilities.

Defined service boundaries

Hosting architecture, resilience, retention, recovery, availability commitments, and third-party services are confirmed by proposal and agreement.

Documented hosting profile

AWS-based infrastructure options

Bansoft technical documentation describes AWS-based hosting profiles using EC2 for application workloads and relational database services where appropriate. Deployment can range from a single-node profile to separated web/application and database tiers or a higher-availability design.

The selected profile depends on resilience, isolation, capacity, recovery, security, and budget requirements.

Shared responsibility

Cloud controls still require workload governance

Cloud-provider controls and certifications do not automatically make the Bansoft workload or client institution compliant. Configuration, access, application controls, operational processes, and client responsibilities remain part of the overall governance model.

Operational components that may be included

Exact implementation depends on the agreed hosting profile.

Compute and storage

Current-generation compute, managed storage, and database options can be selected according to application load, data volume, and isolation needs.

Backups and recovery

Automated backups, snapshots, retention settings, and recovery procedures are configured according to the agreed recovery and operational requirements.

Monitoring and maintenance

Infrastructure and database metrics, maintenance windows, patching, and platform health checks support managed operations.

Network isolation

Private network placement, security groups, restricted database access, and controlled administrative paths can reduce exposure.

Traffic protection

Edge controls can include DDoS mitigation, web-application firewall rules, bot management, rate limiting, and allowlist or blocklist policies.

TLS and certificates

HTTPS and current TLS protocols protect data in transit. Certificate management and enforcement are defined for the production environment.

Availability

No universal uptime promise

Availability depends on the selected architecture, cloud-service commitments, application design, maintenance processes, and contract terms. Any SLA or response-time commitment must be stated in the applicable agreement.

Planning

Questions to resolve before deployment

  • Region and data-location requirements
  • Availability and recovery objectives
  • Backup retention and restoration testing
  • Administrative access model
  • Traffic, capacity, and integration needs
